Scoutlounge is all this and much more. 50 DJs from all around the world are playing 7 days a week 12 and more hours per day LIVE DJ SETS to please a huge community of music lovers. Using the most up to date technology of website programming, online streaming, shoutcast servers, secondlife virtual world and analogue and digital DJ equipment Scoutlounge and their DJs deliver a new approach of DJing.

Past

In the past DJs were tied to the dj booth at a club somewhere on this planet - direct contact to the crowd but limited reach (only a vew did a big gobal career). Using radioshows and online radio stations DJs were able to reach much more people with their music, but they lost direct contact - the feeling for the audience. No direct feedback - just uploading records to a server and watching statistics grow. But this can't satisfy a real DJ!

Today

Since the developement of Secondlife and 3d vitual worlds completely new possibilities came up. Combining the digital equipment, dj software like tractor or vdj, mp3s and beatport, shoutcast and building secondlife virtual clubs, DJs are now able to SEE people joining the party, get direct (Instant Messanger Chat) feedback, building fan communities, and get in "virtual" touch to the crowd. With this combination live performing is fun again and reaching a global crowd is much easier.

Real DJs perform live at their homestudios, seeing their audience at the virtual Scoutlounge club in secondlife, chatting and talking to them and getting direct feedback. At the same time people using our online radio stream can enjoy a live perfoming DJ online (it's a huge difference to a prerecorded set - try it).

Each thursday nights it's possible to see what's happening in our virtual club without login in to Secondlife. You can watch our Online-TV-Stream provided by our partners of Digital Broadcast Channel (DBC).

Scoutlounge provides the community with monthly podcasts of the "Scoutlounge Session" serie, picking out one of our DJs per month. The "Scoutlounge Sessions" are untouched live recordings of DJs who don't know, they will be recorded or podcasted at all. It's 100% pure and real!
